Current value
Record what each holding is worth today, separate from what you paid. Choose which one counts in your totals. Bullion Keeper can estimate bullion at today’s spot price, and estimates are clearly marked.
Live prices for gold, silver, platinum and palladium, with optional copper and rhodium, in your choice of 20 currencies. Record every coin and bar and see what it’s worth today. Broker-free, ad-free, and your stack stays in your own iCloud.
Version 1.1 is waiting for App Store review and isn’t available yet. Once it’s approved, it adds current values, a coin value finder, photo-made icons and Country of Origin. All the photo and AI work will happen on your device, and nothing is uploaded.

Apple Intelligence identifies your coin on your device (on supported devices), then opens recent eBay sold listings and the Numista catalogue. You decide the value. The app never sets a price for you.
Sort your portfolio by purchase price or current value, high to low or low to high. Each row shows what you paid and what it’s worth, with a tick on the value used in your totals.
Pick a bar-style icon in your metal’s colour, or turn your own photos into icons. Import several at once. Coins line up in the frame automatically, and you can choose a round, oval or rectangular frame and set its size.
For castle, ship and other shaped coins, Bullion Keeper traces the coin’s outline. Turn background removal on or off for any icon and preview the cut-out before you use it.
Rotate, straighten and fix the perspective before cropping. Browse photos full screen with pinch-to-zoom, set a key photo, and remove backgrounds or enhance photos one at a time or all at once. Originals are always kept.
Record where each coin or bar was made. It shows in your portfolio, the Mac table, reports, exports and backups, and is read from imported spreadsheets.
Scrolling through prices and charts is steadier, and open charts stay open when you rotate your iPhone.
On iPhone, every Portfolio row uses the full width with larger text, so prices and gains are never cut off.
No dark patterns. No paywall wall-of-shame. No feature exists because a growth PM said so — every one is here because Michael needed it and shipped it.
Gold, silver, platinum and palladium, plus optional copper and rhodium. Refresh by hand or every 15 or 30 minutes, hourly or every 6 hours. Free public prices work with no account; add your own metalpriceapi.com key for hourly rates and history charts.
Metal, quantity and unit, serial number, mint, purchase price and date, and up to 6 photos per holding. Each holding keeps its own weight unit.
Pick a primary and a secondary currency from 20. Every price card shows both, plus the price per gram, and your totals convert automatically.
Bring in a spreadsheet, CSV, Excel or Numbers file, paste text from Apple Notes, or share straight to Bullion Keeper. AI-Assisted Import reads tricky rows with Apple Intelligence, on your device.
No account and no developer servers. Your holdings sync automatically through your own private iCloud, and App Lock can ask for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode every time you open the app.
Export to CSV or Excel, print or save a PDF report with price history and photos, send a summary to Notes, or save a full backup including photos. Duplicate Cleanup finds accidental repeats.
Live Prices open on launch. Tap any metal for up to 5 years of history with high, low and change. Portfolio totals are one tab away, with what you paid and what each holding is worth today side by side.

iPad
On iPad, Bullion Keeper spreads every live price card side-by-side and stacks five-year charts underneath — gold, silver and platinum on one line, palladium, copper and rhodium behind them.

Portfolio
The full portfolio unrolls into a sortable, editable table — tap any column header to reshuffle, tap a row to edit, tap the camera to attach a photo. Star Trek Insignia sits next to a Perth Mint kilo bar without either one feeling out of place.
Settings
Bring your own metalpriceapi.com key or run on public sources. Pick your currencies, toggle copper and rhodium, choose your default weight unit, and decide which details show on each Portfolio row.

On Mac, Bullion Keeper unrolls your whole portfolio into a sortable, editable table — metal, type, name, weight, serial, mint, year, price paid, current value and profit/loss. Edit in place, drag photos onto a row, and right-click a header to show, hide or reorder columns.
